Dr Guldin was appointed by ERM to undertake the Due Diligence of the Indigenous Peoples aspects of Tangguh LNG project in Papua, Indonesia. His knowledge of ADB IP requirements was a major benefit to the project and was a major aspect of the DD process on behalf of the lenders to the project.

Лариса Кораблинова – консультант по вопросам, касающимся коренных народов в России, г. Санкт-Петербург. Лариса Кораблинова является первым координатором программы коренного населения в проекте "Сахалин - 2” , с 2005 года Лариса курирует проект компании "Сахалин Энерджи” по установлению отношений с коренным населением о. Сахалин. Она также принимала участие в подготовке персонала для компаний, работающих в социальной сфере, в соответствии с международными стандартами ("Шелл" и Европейский банк реконструкции и развития). Darrell Edmonds specializes in mediation, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution training. Since 1980 Mr. Edmonds has assisted organizations, communities, business and individuals in resolving their disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution which emphasizes collaboration that benefits all parties. For over fifteen years Darrell has been affiliated with the University of Washington School of Law where he is a member of the mediation clinic's training team.

Mr. Edmonds is also a consultant for the Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA). As a WSSDA diversity/conflict resolution specialist, Mr. Edmonds has provided mediation, facilitation, training, and advice to administrators, school board members, faculty, students and community members. His experience as a Human Resource Consultant for the Washington State Ferries Department for seven and half years enabled him to create and deliver cultural awareness, respectful workplace, and conflict resolution programs for union, nonunion, managers and directors. Mr. Edmonds' skills are applied in a variety of private and public settings.

Matthew Guldin has been an educator and school leader at New York junior-high and high schools for more than 30 years. Having started as a history, social studies, and humanities teacher, and then moving into school leadership roles—first as an Assistant Principal at ACORN Community High School in 2000, then as Dean of Students at East Side Community High School in 2002—Matthew is experienced in implementing socio-emotional learning programmes both within the classroom as well as from an administrative perspective.

Dr. Concepcion del Castillo's professional experience from 1979 through 2005 has focused on applied development anthropology in North Africa and Egypt, as well as in East Asia and Indonesia. She has worked with a variety of international donor agencies and institutions. Concepcion del Castillo's key experience includes fieldwork among Indigenous Peoples including biodiversity and indigenous lands projects, as well as the development of analytic tools for appropriate social and poverty alleviation targeting, and farming systems. Within the World Bank system, her experience includes work developing the World Bank's Indigenous Peoples Policy and co-authoring and editing the Indigenous Peoples Guidebook.

Grant EVANS, Ph.D.

Dr. Grant Evans is an applied anthropologist specializing in Southeast Asia and southern China. His professional career includes work on rural poverty alleviation, ethnic minority issues, and social policy, with an eye to the complex dynamics of social change. His particular areas of expertise include the impact of rural irrigation development projects and ethnic minority uses of forest areas of planned bio-diversity preservation initiatives in Laos. He has also investigated the intricate relationships between aid providers and recipients as it relates to project effectiveness and impact.

Dr. Evans has previously consulted for the World Bank, the ADB and FAO (among others).

Gelek LOBSANG, Ph.D., China Tibetology Institute, Beijing, China

Gelek Lobsang, Cross-Cultural Consulting Services

Dr. Lobsang Gelek is one of the world’s leading authorities on Tibetan development, particularly the effects of economic reform on family and community structure. His consulting experience includes work on social impact assessments, implementation of socially responsible policy initiatives, and sustainable development projects. In these roles he has advised The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank among others.

Andrew MANZARDO, Ph.D.

Dr. Andrew Manzardo has been working on public sector social development initiatives for nearly 30 years. His expertise in social impact assessment, community consultation initiatives, and resettlement issues draws from project work throughout Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. His project experience has focused on infrastructure development projects, natural resource management and associated impact assessments, with particular emphases on gender and poverty issues. He has worked at all levels of social development projects, ranging from community-based endeavors to multi-national initiatives.

Dr. Andrew McWilliam has over 20 years experience in ethnographic research and the anthropology of Indonesia, specializing in the cultural anthropology of Timor Island. Complementing academic research Dr. McWilliam has also been active in the design, development and implementation of technical assistance projects in Indonesia and East Timor. As a specialist in applied social research and community development, he has undertaken both long and short term consultancy work throughout Indonesia with a wide range of donor agencies including the World Bank, ADB, GTZ, CIDA (Canada) and AusAID. He has extensive experience in watershed resource management, community development planning studies and monitoring and evaluation.

Vuong Xuan Tinh, Cross-Cultural Consulting Services

Dr. Vuong Xuan Tinh is an ethnic minority and gender specialist with experience in Vietnam, China, Lao PDR and Thailand. He has over 10 years of experience as a consultant and specialist for the Asian Development Bank, working at all levels of project management. Dr. Tinh is also the Deputy Director of the Institute of Anthropology in Hanoi, Vietnam. His academic research has focused on educational, social, cultural, economic and gender issues related to ethnic minorities in Vietnam and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Zhou Daming is the director of the China Cross-Cultural Consulting Center, based at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, Guangdong. Dr. Zhou has over 24 years of experience in development consulting, including having led training seminars and workshops on Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) for World Bank Staff. Dr. Zhou is an expert on urbanization, poverty reduction, and Indigenous Peoples/Ethnic Minorities. He has led Social Assessments for the World Bank on a diverse range of projects throughout the People’s Republic of China, and was most recently brought in as an independent external monitor for the World Bank Pearl River Delta Urban Environment Project.

Julian Coady assists CCCS with bringing all documents and research reports to the editorial standards of our clients. He also contributes to company business development and research initiatives. His past work with corporate sales and marketing programs continues to improve CCCS project team facilitation and our public face to potential clients.

Mr. Coady also has a grounded familiarity with international relations—especially in terms of Asian political development and democratization. He is currently examining emergent modes of public participation in the PRC and how these feed into internal governmental reform strategies.

Peter Costolanski assists CCCS with research support and document preparation. Mr. Costolanski's experience with social development and social protection issues at the World Bank; familiarity with international affairs and principles of corporate social responsibility; and passion for community-level initiatives augment his analysis of private enterprise and public governance. Mr. Costolanski also has a deep and abiding interest in green business, sustainability, environmental policy, and community management of natural resources in a development context.

Daniel Neilson, Cross-Cultural Consulting Services

Daniel Neilson is a quantitative economic consultant in the risk-management industry. He is familiar with a variety of econometric methods and statistical software.

Mr. Neilson combines advanced training in economic theory and econometric analysis with other interests in the social sciences.

Mr. Neilson's graduate research focuses on monetary economics and the banking system. Separate works examine emerging modes of decentralized production, typified by open-source software. In general, his work combines careful empirical study with a critical view of economic orthodoxy.
